Posted March 18, 2018 11:21:18 New Nintendo hardware has been revealed, as the company has announced it will launch a new console in 2018, dubbed the Nintendo 3D Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The console will include a new “Super Smash Bros.” title, alongside the Nintendo Switch and 3DS.
Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said the console will be a “completely new console,” but declined to share any details on its specs.
New 3DS XL will be released in December, while the Nintendo Virtual Console will be launched in April.
There are also new releases for the Wii U in 2018 and 2020.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Kart 7, and Super Mario 3D Land are available for the Nintendo Wii U for $49.99, while Mario Party 10 Deluxe is available for $29.99.
Nintendo also announced that the company is making “new content” available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop for the new consoles.
Nintendo Switch is currently on sale for $299.99 on its own, but there are some new features and discounts to be found through the Nintendo Shop.
The Nintendo 3Ds Super Smash Brothers for WiiU will be available to pre-order in November, but the console itself will only be available in stores in March.
The new Nintendo 3ds XL will also be available for pre-purchase in March for $499.99 at its retail price.
